📋 DMCA Compliant Simple Click Counter respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond to notices of alleged infringement in accordance with applicable laws.
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on our website, please notify us by submitting a written DMCA takedown notice in accordance with the requirements outlined below.
⚡ Quick Note: Simple Click Counter is a free, browser-based counting tool. We do not host user-generated content or copyrighted media. However, we take all copyright claims seriously and will respond promptly to valid DMCA notices.
1. What is the DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that provides a legal framework for addressing copyright infringement claims on the internet. It includes a “safe harbor” provision that protects online service providers from liability for copyright infringement, provided they respond promptly to valid takedown notices.
Under the DMCA, copyright holders can request that infringing content be removed from a website by submitting a properly formatted takedown notice.
2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on Simple Click Counter infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice that includes the following information:
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notice, provide a representative list.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity, along with information reasonably sufficient to locate the material on our website (e.g., URL).
- Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

3. What Happens After We Receive Your Notice
Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:
- Review the notice to ensure it contains all required information.
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material within a reasonable timeframe (typically 24-48 hours).
- Notify the content provider (if applicable) that the material has been removed or disabled.
- Provide the content provider with a copy of the takedown notice and information on how to file a counter-notification.
If we determine that the notice is incomplete or invalid, we may request additional information or reject the notice.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted on our website was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notification under the DMCA. Your counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or the district where our website is hosted), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original takedown notice.
Please send your counter-notification to the same email address: privacy@simpleclickcounter.net.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Since Simple Click Counter does not require user accounts or host user-generated content, this policy primarily applies to any future interactive features we may implement.
We reserve the right to block access to our website from users who repeatedly infringe copyright or violate these terms.
6. Misrepresentation and Liability
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages.
Please ensure that your DMCA notices are accurate and submitted in good faith. We recommend consulting with legal counsel before filing a takedown notice if you are unsure whether your copyright has been infringed.
⚠️ Important: Filing false DMCA notices is a serious matter and may result in legal consequences. Please only submit notices if you have a genuine copyright claim.
